Learn More & Find Your Fun

Preschool (Ages 4-5)

Our smallest campers can have big fun too! Choose from Preschool Ballet, Gymnastics, or Ninja Warrior. Our Preschool camps are from 1:00pm-4:00pm
 

Discover (Ages 6-10)

Discover Camp is our traditional camp, but every day is a new adventure with an action-packed morning. Campers will be immersed in outdoor adventure at their very own shelter. They will have the opportunity to play games, create art, explore our nature trails, and spend the afternoons swimming.

 

Cheerleading (Ages 6-12)

Cheer Camp provides young cheerleaders an opportunity to build their confidence and learn new skills and techniques that they can bring back to their own cheer squads! Every morning campers will learn cheers, chants, and dances formatted for beginning and intermediate level cheerleaders. In the afternoon, campers will work on tumbling in our Gymnastics Center before heading off to the pool.

Aquatics (Ages 6-13)

What could be better than combining the magic of camp with the summer classic of swimming? In Aquatics Camp, campers will enjoy recreational swim time in the morning and participate in group swim instructions from Y certified swim instructor in the afternoon. When not in the pool, Aquatic campers will participate in traditional camp activities like crafts, sports, games, and field trips!

Gymnastics (Ages 6-14)

Every morning campers will get training from experienced instructors on the vault, bars, beam, floor, dance, and tumble track. In the afternoon, campers will enjoy swim time and participate in other traditional camp activities focused on the special theme of the week!

Arts & Education (Ages 7-14)

Our Arts & Education half day camps are for those looking to get in touch with their creative side! Available in the morning and in the afternoon: American Girl, Arts & Crafts, Baking, STEM, Cooking, Painting, Duct Tape, Everything Beads, LEGO, Paper Crafting, Pottery, Robotics, Sew Much Fun, Slimey Science, String Things, Board Games, Take It Apart, Tie Dye, Pokémon, Disney, Superhero & Star Wars Art.

Sports Specialty (Ages 6-14)

Our Sports Specialty Camps are for campers really looking to dig deeper into a specific sport all week long! We have various different sports specialty camps: Archery, Basketball, Bowling, Dodgeball, Football, Golf, Judo, NERF, Soccer, Volleyball.

Sports of All Sorts (Ages 8-13)

Sports of All Sorts is general sports camp for campers that love to be active and discover both new and old sports/games. Every day our Sports of All Sorts campers will play a new sport, associated with the specific theme of the week. Our sports themes include: "Hit It", "Kick It", Throw It", "Bounce It", and "Discover It". In the afternoons, campers will participate in traditional camp activities which include swimming, and camp games. All skill levels are welcome! 
 

High Adventure (Ages 10-15)

High Adventure Camp is for our older campers that are looking for a cool summer adventure! High Adventure campers will journey offsite each week on a special trip, depending on the specific theme of the week: Extreme Expedition, Go Karting, iFly, Kayaking, Paintball, Rock Climbing, Zipline.

Voyager (Ages 11-15)

Voyager Camp is a traditional camp for our older campers and includes activities and trips to keep them engaged every day! Campers will have the opportunity to find their place among new friends while exploring nature trails, playing games, and creating art at their very own Camp Shelter. The afternoons are spent swimming and participating in other traditional camp activities. The only screen they will need is sunscreen!

Summer camp registration is done online through our Camp Registration Application. The 2024 Camp Registration Application will go live on Monday, March 4th at 11:00am.

The cost of summer camp varies depending on the specific camp and your membership status. 

Camp Financial Assistance is available for Countryside YMCA members and non-members! Please contact Holly Helton ( Holly.Helton@ymcastaff.org ) for more information regarding our summer camp financial assistance.

A typical camp session is Monday-Friday! There is no camp on Memorial Day of 4th of July. 

Full-Day Camp Hours:  9:00am – 4:00pm

Half-Day AM Camp Hours:  9:00am – 12:00pm

Half-Day PM Camp Hours:  1:00pm – 4:00pm

*Camp Sign-In begins 15 minutes before the scheduled camp start time.

*Camp Sign-Out begins 15 minutes before the scheduled camp end time.

*Campers registered for two half day camps during the same week will not need to be picked up after their morning camp concludes. They will have lunch and be supervised by their camp counselors until their afternoon camp begins.

YMCA Camp Countryside Cancellation & Refund Policy

All summer camp cancellation/refund requests must be submitted by email to the Camp Director (Jamarcus.Gibson@ymcastaff.org). 

*Full refund will be provided for cancellations received by email within 14 days prior to the start of camp.

*No refund will be provided for cancellations within 14 days of the start of camp.

*High Adventure – Extreme Expedition & Kayak Camps:  Extreme Expedition and Kayak trips are weather permitting.  There are no refunds provided for weather related cancellation trips, as long as the camp attends at least one scheduled trip during the week.  If the camp is unable to attend any of the scheduled trips for that week, a prorated refund (minus the cost of our Core Camps) will be credited to your camp account.  

 

Before & After Camp is offered at Countryside YMCA's main building in the Lower Level. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in crafts, board games, small group games, and sports inside our gyms. A breakfast snack will be provided in Before Camp for those that arrive before 8:15am and an afternoon snack will be provided in After Camp for those not signed out before 4:30pm.  

Before Camp Hours: 7:00am - 8:45am 

After Camp Hours: 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Cost: $27 Members / $32 Non Members

*Listed cost is per week, per child, per program.
