Our vision is for all Countryside YMCA Childcare programs to be the leaders in building children of character. Through the use of The Creative Curriculum®, our program encompasses the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith.
Most of our programs provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Each of the snacks will contain at least two nutritional foods. We are a peanut, tree nut free facility.
Our educators are passionate and experienced with a deep understanding of early childhood development, and the ability to create engaging and educational activities.
Choose Your Child Care
Countryside YMCA is Warren County, Ohio’s largest childcare provider. We have a variety of centers designed to meet the needs of families with children ages six weeks through eighth grade.
Creative Curriculum
Studies have shown that engaging in free play allows children to learn the skills of negotiation, problem solving, sharing, and working within groups. Children practice decision-making skills, move at their own pace and discover their own interests during play. Unstructured play leads to more physical movement and healthier children. All our childcare programs use The Creative Curriculum®. The philosophy of The Creative Curriculum is that young children learn best by doing. It is built on theories of development in young children, that all children learn through active exploration of their environment and therefore the environment plays a critical role in learning. The goal of the Creative Curriculum is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic learners by actively exploring their environment.
Preschool Enrichment vs. Full Time Preschool
We often get questions regarding the difference between Preschool Enrichment and Full Time Preschool. Preschool Enrichment is a part time program that operates a couple days per week for 2 1/2 hour classes for a monthly fee. The program is designed for stay at home parents that want their children to get some Kindergarten readiness prior to starting school. Full Time preschool is set up for the working parent. It incorporates the same preschool curriculum into an all-day program, this has a weekly fee. Both programs focus on Kindergarten Readiness, self-help skills, and character development.
