Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice
through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Since day one, our mission has remained constant: to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirits, mind, and body for all. We do that in many ways, including our chaplaincy program and prayer request submissions. By listening to people and providing spiritual guidance and prayer, the chaplains demonstrate Christ and his values to the YMCA community. Please email us at chaplains@ymcastaff.org. YMCA chaplains and staff will do all we can to help.

A Historical Perspective of the YMCA's Christian Principles

To understand the mission of the Y,  we need to know what Christian principles are and see how the YMCA puts those into practice. This video highlights the history of the Y as a cause-driven organization.
