Recreational Gymnastics Program

The YMCA recreational gymnastics program will provide a fun, safe environment for children ages 6-14 years to learn progressive skills on all gymnastics equipment. Female gymnasts will practice on the floor, bars, beam, and vault. Male gymnasts will practice on the floor, rings, high bar, parallel bars, pommel horse, and vault. Each class emphasizes gymnastic skills like balance, strength, spatial awareness, and flexibility. For these pre-teens and teens, our gymnastics classes are also full of the socializing and high-energy fun they want.

Tumbling Gymnastics Program

The YMCA tumbling program focuses on providing gymnasts, cheerleaders, and dancers with the skills necessary to become good tumblers. Students ages 6-14 years will spend time working on strength and tumbling drills that will help them get one step closer to better tumbling for classes and try-outs. Each class will have a maximum of 6 students of similar skill level. An experienced instructor will be on hand to help students work on their individualized goals.
