Our outdoor pool hours are extended into the fall! Thanks to your feedback and strong community interest, we’re keeping the fun going with more opportunities to swim, relax, and stay active under the autumn sun.

Know Before You Go

If you are a member of Countryside YMCA you will need to scan in at the Outdoor Pool entrance to enter the pool deck.

If you are a NEW POOL ONLY MEMBER you will need to stop by our Welcome Center to get a photo, and pick up a green membership card. You will need this to scan in at the Outdoor Pool entrance. The staff at the Outdoor Pool entrance do not have cameras or cards to activate your membership.

Countryside YMCA members can bring a non member as a guest. Youth 1-Day Guest Pass: $7, Adult 1-Day Guest Pass: $10, Family 1-Day Guest Pass: $15. Guests must be accompanied by the member.

Nationwide Members (Reciprocal Members) are welcome at the Outdoor Pool at 1:00pm or later with their membership card and photo ID. Nationwide Members may not bring guests.

We require swim tests for children ages 6-12 to swim in deep water. Swim tests are done every hour during adult swim. Your child will only need to pass a swim test 1 time. A green or pink sticker will be put on their membership card indicating they passed a swim test (expiring May 25th, 2026). If your child ages 6-12 does not want to take a swim test or does not pass the swim test they will get a yellow wristband and will need to stay in shallow water. If your child is 5 and under they do not need to take the swim test, but will be given a red wristband, and an adult must be in the water with them at all times. Anyone 13 or older is not required to take a swim test or wear a wristband.

No glass bottles. No alcohol. No smoking or vaping. No pets, except for service animals. No pool floats.

We have a concession stand but you are also welcome to bring a cooler, any snack or drinks, just no glass bottles. Goggles, soft balls, and dive sticks are permitted at our pool.

The Outdoor Pool will not open if air temperature is less than 70°F, water temperature is less than 75°F, thunder and/or lightning has occurred within the last 30 minutes. We would close the pool for weather if we cannot see the bottom of the pool or we hear thunder/ see lightning (or if there is a lightning strike within 10 miles). For thunder and lighting we will close for 30 minutes from the last sighting. We will clear everyone from the pool deck and they can go to pavilion or their cars. Our Aquatic Coordinators will make a case by case game time decision to move inside if the storms look aggressive or prolonged, if it is just a quick weather interruption we will remain outside and reopen when the safe time has passed while watching the weather closely for the rest of day.
