Nationale Gebedsdag

Leaders of government, business, faith, education, and military invite you to attend the 29th National Day of Prayer in Warren County as we Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations in prayer, worship and song. Coffee, tea, pastries provided, no formal meal.

Nationale Gebedsdag Warren County

De Nationale Gebedsdag werd in 1952 door president Harry S. Truman ingesteld door een gezamenlijke resolutie van het Amerikaanse Congres. De missie van de Nationale Gebedsdag is het mobiliseren van gezamenlijk openbaar gebed voor Amerika. De werkgroep die werd opgericht "vertegenwoordigde een joods-christelijke uitdrukking van nationale observantie, gebaseerd op het begrip dat de Verenigde Staten van Amerika werden geboren in gebed en in eerbied voor de God van de Bijbel", aldus de website van de Nationale Gebedsdag.

Through the work of several individuals, including Lucy McCarren, Susan Huddleson, Katherine Brewer, Dennis Bunnell, A. Carolyn Sanders, and Georgie Clark, Warren County has been recognizing this national event for the past 28 years. Leaders from throughout Warren County will be reading scriptures. To date the following individuals have participated: Bill DeLord, Randy Kuvin, Marcus Shelton, Josh Patrick, Becky Iverson, Pastor Steve Cramer, Barry Riley, Jonathan Westendorf, Chris Koch, Tom Isaacs, Kim Bilbrey, Shawn Acrey, and Amy Fornshell.
