Our senior members love our Stolle Center pool,  but things are a little different as we adjust to the new safety standards set by the state of Ohio. We're following guidelines from health experts and local officials to ensure that our pools meet the highest standards for hygiene and safety, and to ensure that our staff are trained and ready to serve you.

As is always the case in our pools, your safety - and the safety of all our members, program participants, and staff - is our number one priority.

Who can use the Stolle pool?

Members, reciprocal members and guests age 50 and up are welcome in the Stolle Pool. Guests must enter with a member and use a current guest pass, or they can purchase a guest pass at the North Entry.

When will the pool be open?

Come prepared to the Y to use the Stolle pool

  • Do a healthy self-check before you leave home and stay home if you are ill or you have symptoms of COVID-19.

  • Arrive at the facility wearing your swim suit ready to swim.

  • Enter the Y through the North entrance and have your membership card or app ready to scan for a required check-in.

  • Follow physical distancing if you must stand in line while waiting to check-in.

  • Bring your own water bottle. Our no-touch water bottle fillers are working, but vending machines are closed.

  • Bring your own towels. Our towel service is currently discontinued.

  • The Stolle Center locker rooms and showers are open.

New proceedures for using the Stolle Pool

  • Wash your hands with disinfectant soap and water or use a hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available, before going to the pool.

  • To ensure our swimmers have access and the opportunity to swim for fitness, please limit your swimming activities to 1 hour.

  • To maintain safe social distancing, please maintain at least 6 feet of distance between you and your fellow swimmers.

  • Periodically, you may have to wait for an available lap lane. If there is a wait, the Aquatic staff will assign you a specific time you may return to the pool to begin your swim.

  • Do not share equipment. We do have limited swim equipment located in the Clean/Ready to Use bins poolside. After your swim, please place borrowed equipment in the Used Equipment bin.

  • Bring a full water bottle. Water fountains are not available.

Standard proceedures for while you are at the Y

We don't expect you to wear a mask while you are in the pool, but for the health of others we encourage you to wear one if you are out of the pool and when you are interacting with staff. We encourage you to wear a mask as you check-in to the pool, exit the pool area, and in the locker rooms and Stolle lobby.

Wash your hands or use our sanitizing stations often. Restrooms are open, and sanitizing stations will also be available.

Follow physical distancing. While at the pools, members must stay at least six feet apart from those they don't live with, both in and out of the water.
