Renew Active­™ by UnitedHealthcare® Medicare Plans Available January 1, 2021

Countryside YMCA is proud to announce we will soon offer Renew Active­™ exclusively from UnitedHealthcare® Medicare Plans. Renew Active­ is the gold standard in Medicare fitness programs for body and mind and includes a free gym membership to a participating location such as Countryside YMCA. Renew Active is available at no additional cost, exclusively from UnitedHealthcare® Medicare Plans.

Program Benefits 

  • Free membership to Countryside YMCA.

  • Free access to the Y is extended to your designated caregiver when they are aiding you. 

  • Free one-on-one session with a personal trainer in our Fitness Orientation program

  • Free Member Coaching to help you get acclimated with the Y and all we offer. 

  • Free access to our exclusive Stolle Center which caters to seniors. 

What do you have to do to take advantage of this program?

1. You must have a UnitedHealthcare® Medicare Plan.

2. Join Countryside YMCA and sign up for a RenewActivemembership. 

3. Visit the Y at least 3 times each month, which is easy to do considering all the activites we offer at Countryside YMCA!

Enjoy our premier Stolle Center with exclusive ammenities for seniors

Participants in Renew Active through Countryside YMCA  benefit in many ways. Not only is your membership fee covered, but you can take advantage of exercise programs and classes designed especially for you. Our Stolle Center caters to the needs of an older adult population, and includes a heated pool, whirlpool, private locker rooms, community room, and exercise facilities. Regularly scheduled social activities from  potlucks and group outings, to bus trips and community service opportunities keep you connected with others. Discover some of the many things you can take advantage of only at Countryside YMCA:

  • Enjoy water walking and water fitness classes in the exclusive heated pool only available to those 50+

  • Work with a Personal Trainer to design a custom workout plan to meet your needs

Yes. Countryside YMCA is part of the designated caregiver initiative through Renew Active which means eligible members can bring their designated caregiver with them at no cost to the member or caregiver. 

A designated caregiver is a person who is 18 years of age or older that has significant resonsibility for managing the well-being of a person diagnosed with a chronic or debilitating mental or physical medical condition. 

The member's designaged primary caregiver is granted access the the Y at no cost to solely aid the member. They have access to anything the member does as part of the standard or basic membership; however, the caregiver cannot utilize the service and amenities for themselves. 

 

Speciality wellness classes at the Y for our senior population 

These classes are designed for specific populations and health challenges, and are available to all our members. Besides these speciality classes, we offer hundreds of other fitness classes and options including walking tracks, spin classes, water fitness, and arts classes.
