We recognize that for our community to succeed, everyone must be given the opportunity to be healthy and confident. That’s why we are committed to providing financial assistance to families in need.
The YMCA welcomes all who wish to participate and believes that no one should be denied access to the Y based on their ability to pay. Through our Annual Campaign, the Countryside YMCA provides assistance to youth, adults and families based on individual needs and circumstances.
We offer rate adjustments based on income and family size on a sliding scale to ensure funds are given in a fair and consistent manner. Every YMCA member receives the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they receive financial assistance. If you are eligible, a portion of your membership fees will be covered by funds from our Annual Campaign. If you receive membership financial assistance, your membership will be activated as soon as you make your first month’s payment.
Any financial assistance provided will last for one year. If you continue to need financial assistance after that time, you will need to reapply yearly. Call the Y to schedule an appointment at 513 932 1424 ext. 184.
Anyone who is a member of the Y, but is struggling financially to pay for additional classes, can apply annually for program financial assistance. Recipients receive up to $300 annually to take classes (excluding certain specialty classes, specialty camps, or private lessons.) You pay for 50% of the course fee, and funds from our Annual Campaign will cover the other 50% until the total has been spent. If you receive program assistance, it will be activated as soon as you register in person for classes.
Any financial assistance provided will last for one year. If you continue to need financial assistance after that time, you will need to reapply yearly. Call the Y to schedule an appointment at 513 932 1424 ext. 184.
The camp scholarship fund will assist families with 10-50% of their childcare cost if they meet the income guidelines or if a current camp family experiences a job loss or other financial hardship. These families will apply with Missy Gilmore by filling out an application and providing the following:
Last 4 (most recent) paycheck stubs – all jobs
Verification of Child Support
Verification of court ordered garnishments
Letter of financial hardship (hardship cases only)
Gross monthly income will be figured, including child support, less any court ordered garnishments. Once they have been approved the family will be responsible for 50-90% of the tuition weekly and scholarship will fund the remaining 10-50%. The Countryside YMCA reserves the right to review eligibility or revoke assistance at any time provided eligibility information is deemed fraudulent.
Each family will receive the scholarship assistance as long as they are income eligible, they stay current on their portion of tuition and the funds are available. Countryside YMCA agrees to pay 10-50% of their tuition and give families a month notice if scholarship funds are depleted.
