Free Child Care for Members when You are at the Y

Trust your children to us when you come in for a workout! In our newly renovated child care space, your children will be cared for by experienced, trained staff. You can work out or attend class knowing they are safe and entertained.

Participation Guidelines

Thank you for respecting the following rules for Child Watch:

  • Child Watch is available to YMCA patrons who are participating at an onsite YMCA program.
  • Non-members and program members pay $5 an hour per child.
  • Child Watch cares for children age 6-weeks to 9 years.
  • There is a two-hour limit per day.
  • There is a $5 per child late fee for every 15 minutes over 2 hours. Staff members are not permitted to negotiate this rule with members at any time. If multiple late pickups occur, Child watch privileges may be suspended.
  • Food is not permitted in Child Watch for allergy and safety reasons. If your child is thirsty, a caregiver may provide them with water.  Staff will not bottle feed in Child Watch.
  • Pull-ups or diapers and wipes must be provided if your child is not potty-trained. If a child needs a diaper and doesn't have supplies, the parent will be paged.
  • Please do not bring toys from home and do not leave valuables or medications in your diaper bag. We cannot be responsible for damage and/or loss of personal item. 
  • If your child has any allergies or medical conditions that staff need to be aware of, please fill out an "Intake Form."

Check-in and Check-out Procedures

To ensure your child's safety, please follow these procedures:

  • The Team Leader signs in your child using: child's name and age; parent or adult's name; parent's location in the facility; a secondary person designated to sign out child; the time of sign-in.
  • No one can pick up a child unless their name was provided during check in, they have a photo ID, and are at least 16.
