The Countryside YMCA  location in the Otterbein Life Enrichment Center offers classes and activities to all residents. There's a full-service exercise facility with a warm water pool, cardio and strength equipment and a dedicated indoor walking/running track. All amenities and programs are designed to meet your physical, mental, social, spiritual, emotional and vocational well-being. Whatever your level of ability, the YMCA will have something for you.

Classes 
  • Water Fit: 45-minute moderate intensity class dedicates 30 minutes to getting your heart rate up, 10 minutes to strength exercises and 5 minutes to stretching. 
  • Aqua Combo:  45-minute class that will work on your flexibility, cardiovascular health and strength.
  • Arthritic Water:  30 minutes of gentle range of motion, flexibility and easy strength exercises.
  • Sit n Tone:  This 45-minute class works on your flexibility and strength all while sitting down. Perfect for all fitness levels.
  • Stretch It  Out: 30 minutes of dedicated stretching for your entire body.
  • Balance It:  45-minute class works on improving your balance through strength, flexibility and practical activities.
  • Gentle Yoga:  60-minute class designed for seniors. Works on range of motion, strength, and relaxation.
  • Water Volleyball:  Once a month we meet for a night of laughter, water volleyball, and light snacks.

Throughout the year we offer classes on healthy eating, and we host guest speakers on topics of interest to our residents.

Registration and cost:

All land and water classes are $3 per class, but you do not need to register for each class you wish to take. Instead, stop by the YMCA desk and purchase a land or water class punch card for  5, 10 or 15 classes.

Monday –Thursday: 6 am – 6 pm 
Friday: 6 am - 4 pm 
Saturday: 9 am -1 pm 
Sunday: Noon - 4 pm
