From backyard to backcountry, build outdoor skills and confidence.
Give your child a chance to explore, learn, and get trail-ready with Trailblazers, a hands-on outdoor skills experience for kids ages 8–12.
During this free trial event, kids will learn the basics of preparing for a backpacking adventure through games, challenges, and time outdoors. They’ll practice reading a map, using a compass, identifying plants and animal tracks, and setting up camp—all while exploring the Countryside YMCA Nature Trail.
No previous experience is necessary. Just bring curiosity and a sense of adventure!
