Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati
We’re proud to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati (BBBSGC) to support youth mentorship right here at Countryside YMCA. Through this partnership, Bigs (adult mentors) and Littles (youth mentees) have a safe, welcoming space to learn, play, and grow together — whether that’s swimming, playing basketball, or just hanging out and sharing experiences at the Y.
How Visits Work at the YMCA
-
Check-In: All BBBS visitors stop at the Front Desk to sign in. Staff will check them in under the BBBS membership.
-
Waivers: Any Big or Little who isn’t already a YMCA member needs a waiver. For Littles, waivers must be signed by their legal guardian. On their first visit, both Big and Little will also sign a waiver at the Front Desk.
-
Ongoing Visits: Each time, Bigs and Littles check in at the Front Desk, and staff record their visit.
Watch the story of Caroline, a Countryside YMCA member and Big Sister, and Aryelle, her Little, to see how mentorship can create meaningful connections and lasting impact.
