Countryside YMCA in Lebanon, Ohio offers a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Our licensed childcare facility connected to our Lebanon YMCA location.

Our Step Up to Quality star-rated program is designed to meet the needs of families with children from infancy through pre-K.

Our vision is for all Countryside YMCA childcare programs to be the leaders in building children of character. Through the use of "The Creative Curriculum" our program encompasses the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith.

Preschool children enrolled here have several unique opportunities. First, all preschoolers are given free swim lessons. Second, children have the opportunity to attend age-appropriate extracurricular classes such as ballet, gymnastics, soccer, and Spanish during the day.

  • Lessons are designed to enhance problem-solving skills, improve personal interaction, and showcase each child's natural creativity.

  • The curriculum is aligned with the State of Ohio's early learning and developmental standards for Social-Emotional Development, Approaches Toward Learning, Cognitive Development and General Knowledge (including Mathematics, Science and Social Studies), Language and Literacy Development, Physical Well-Being and Motor Development.

  • A variety of activities provide opportunities for children to grow cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically, and creatively.

  • Lebanon schools provide transportation to and from school for all Lebanon schools, including St. Francis and Lebanon Christian. 

Guidelines for Child Care Programs to Help Slow the Spread of Communicable Disease

  • Health screenings and temperature checks will be done if a child appears ill. Children and staff must have a temperature below  100.0 to participate that day. There currently is no mask mandate in our school-age programs; however, this is subject to change based on information received and rules set forth by Governor DeWine and/or ODJFS Child Care Licensing.

  • We adhere to the Staff-child ratios and group sizes determined by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services; there are currently no required modifications. 

  • Staff and children follow rigorous handwashing throughout the day.

  • There is frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high traffic areas throughout the day.

Closings and Delay Policies; Rates; Parent Handbook

If Lebanon City Schools are closed due to weather conditions, then The Children's Center will operate on a 1-hour delay and will begin at 7:30 am.
