Equitable Access to Resources, Relationships, and Opportunities to Learn and Grow

Countryside YMCA provides outreach early learning programs to help preschool-aged children whose families would normally not be able to afford traditional preschool. Children develop the skills they need to be successful in kindergarten through fun learning experiences including free educational field trips, 5 weeks of swim lessons and/or gymnastics at Countryside YMCA throughout the school year (September through May).

We like to say it is like preschool in your backyard! By bringing the classroom to these communities, we are able to remove traditional barriers such as lack of transportation. This program is designed to bring together preschool curriculum and physical activity in a safe and supportive environment to help these preschoolers succeed in school, at home and throughout their lives. Made possible by our Annual Campaign. Click here to learn more about our Annual Campaign.
