New Guidelines for Child Care Programs to Help Slow the Spread of Covid-19

  • Staff and school-age children who are Kindergarten and older are required to wear masks in all indoor areas and in outdoor areas when social distancing is not possible.

  • Health screenings and temperature checks will be done on all students and staff upon arrival.  Kids and staff must have a temperature below 100.4 to participate that day.

  • Drop off and pick up will be located outside or in the lobby to limit the amount of traffic within the buildings.

  • According to Ohio Department of Jobs and Familiy Services,  ratios and group sizes have been determined  based on the ability to properly social distance. Staff practices social distancing and plans age appropriate social distancing activities.

  • Staff and children follow rigorous handwashing throughout the day.

  • There is frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high traffic areas throughout the day.

Face Covering Policy

Effective Friday July 24:  In accordance with Governor DeWine’s order for mandatory masks in Ohio,  Countryside YMCA school age programs have adopted the practice of wearing face coverings for all school age students who are Kindergarten and older.  We understand the Governor’s mandate was for children 10 and up, but according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, children 2 years and older should wear "cloth face coverings" when they are "in the community setting" to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
