While the new school year may look different than before, one thing remains the same: Countryside YMCA’s before and after school programs continue to be a place where children can remain active, learning and engaged during their time out of school – a critical time for all school-age children, especially as they continue to adjust to the many changes related to COVID-19. Each year, the Y works to provide engaging activities in a caring and safe environment both before and after school, and this year will be no different.
Countryside YMCA offers before and after school programs for families enrolled in four local school districts including Lebanon City Schools, Kings Local School District, Little Miami School District, and Clinton Massie Schools. Financial assistance is available to ensure every child and teen has the opportunity to learn and grow at the Y.
Each site is also preparing options to better support families when their children are learning virtually. Participants already enrolled in the before and after school program can attend the Y’s program when classes are held virtually.
Staff and school-age children who are Kindergarten and older are required to wear masks in all indoor areas and in outdoor areas when social distancing is not possible.
Health screenings and temperature checks will be done on all students and staff upon arrival. Kids and staff must have a temperature below 100.4 to participate that day.
Drop off and pick up will be located outside or in the lobby to limit the amount of traffic within the buildings.
Ratios and group sizes have been determined based on the ability to properly social distance. Staff practices social distancing and plans age appropriate socially distant activities.
Staff and children follow rigorous handwashing throughout the day.
There is frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high traffic areas throughout the day.
Countryside YMCA is currently enrolling at all locations. Choose the location you are most interested for more information.
Childcare financial assistance is available to families that meet the income eligibility guidelines. Once approved, the recipient will be responsible for 50-90% of the tuition weekly and YMCA financial aid will fund the remaining 10-50%. This program is also available to families currently enrolled who experience a job loss or other financial hardship. If you receive childcare financial assistance, it will be activated at the time of enrollment.
Eligibility will be reviewed every three to six months.
