Countryside YMCA is home to one of the largest cardio and strength centers in the region. In addition, we have fitness studios, a starter fitness studio, and circuit training. Whether you need to start an exercise routine, get back into fitness after a break, or ramp up your workouts, the Y has the equipment to make it happen.
Our largest fitness center, the CSC, is a 13,000 square foot space designed for both cardiovascular and strength workouts using top-of-the-line equipment. Fitness Center instructors are available to provide training on the equipment and Personal Trainers are also available by appointment.
The CSC can be used by teens ages 15 and older and adults. Teens ages 12 to 14-year-olds may also use the Fitness Center when accompanied by a parent. Members who are ages 12 to 14 should sign in at the Cardio Strength Center Desk and wear a youth badge during their workout.
We value our member experience and want to provide the best equipment possible. To keep up with equipment trends, every year we replace and add new equipment.
Our free-weight room is located inside our CSC, where 3,391 square feet is dedicated to nothing but lifting. In this area you'll find:
Nautilus® is a registered trademark of Nautilus, Inc.
Hammer Strength® is a registered trademark of Brunswick Corporation.
Our Starter Fitness Center is a smaller cardio strength center, with basic cardio machines like treadmills and stationary bikes available for use. It has a relaxed atmosphere for those who are new to exercising. 7-14 year olds can use the Starter Fitness area, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Ages 15 and up can be on their own.
Circuit training provides a strength building program that incorporates cardio activity for an overall body workout. Members can exercise on this equipment during fitness classes, or during open access times. Children ages 7-14 can use this equipment when accompanied by an adult.
We have five studios to offer expanded class offerings – a spinning studio, a quiet studio for classes such as yoga and Pilates, and a new, larger studio for a variety of aerobic and strength training classes.
