We are excited to offer Winter hikes at regional tri-state parks, and week-long hiking trips in

The Colorado Rockies (July & August 2024) and The Grand Canyon (September 2024)

WINTER HIKES

Cold weather hiking is uniquely enjoyable, and this winter we’ll be visiting some regional tri-state parks. On these day trips, we’ll explore trails at places like Red River Gorge (KY), Hocking Hills State Park (OH), and Clifty Falls State Park (IN). Nature in the Midwest’s winter months offers different perspectives when covered with snow and ice, and you’ll find it more quiet, bug-free, and with unobstructed views of terrain. So layer up and let’s go hiking! Click on the date below to reserve your spot. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for program members or non members. As we get closer Jeff Ensman will reach out with more details on time, meeting location, transportation, and more. Or you can email Jeff.Ensman@ymcastaff.org with questions.

Grand Canyon Trip September 22-28, 2024 (ALL 2024 TRIPS FULL)

First Crew Meeting February 1st 7pm-9pm at Countryside YMCA

This program offers adults 18 and over a unique path to physical and spiritual growth, and culminates in a week-long trip to experience God’s glory at the Grand Canyon. Join us to experience this iconic national park as we hike on some of its most famous trails. We’ll tent camp on the south rim, spend a day hiking along the south rim to get perspective on the park’s beauty and size, and then hike down to the Colorado River and back on the South Kaibab and Bright Angel trails. The Grand Canyon’s unique beauty is best appreciated by seeing it in person, and there’s no better way to witness its majesty than to hike into its depth below the rim, on well-established trails. Join us for this once in a lifetime experience. The September 22-28, 2024 trip is limited to 20 participants. Cost is around $700, but we urge you to attend the crew meeting if interested. For more information, email Jeff.Ensman@ymcastaff.org
