There are a variety of athletic opportunities available at Countryside YMCA, including sports leagues. Today, we’ll take a look at those leagues.
Sports are one of the most popular activities offered by Countryside YMCA. If you are looking for an adult sports league or a children’s sports league, the best place to go is Countryside YMCA. We offer many leagues across several different sports. Let’s take a look at some of those leagues as we discuss the sports programs at YMCA.
Recreational baseball leagues are some of the most popular sports leagues in the United States. At Countryside YMCA, we offer three coed baseball leagues: tee ball, coach pitch, and advanced coach pitch. For non-members, our baseball leagues cost $91, but for members, they only cost $70. We specifically gear these leagues towards baseball skill development for players from 4 to 9 years old.
Sports at YMCA nearly always include basketball leagues, and Countryside YMCA is no different. We provide five different basketball leagues, two of which are for adults. We offer adult coed and men’s competitive basketball leagues with a four-on-four format. Countryside YMCA has youth leagues for children 4 to 10 years old, priced at $78 each season. For members, that price drops to $60.
For parents concerned with their children playing tackle football, a flag football league is a perfect way for them to develop skills for competitive football without the risks of injury associated with a full-contact sport. All four of our flag football leagues are youth leagues for kids ages 5 to 14. These leagues are coed and noncompetitive, which means that every player receives equal playing time.
There are many sports at YMCA, and soccer leagues are arguably the most common among young children. Soccer is an easy sport for young children to learn. Soccer allows kids to develop essential motor skills while promoting social skills as well. Countryside YMCA leagues are available for children 4 to 10 years old, and they include a basic league and an advanced league. Games are played indoors, which means you won’t have to worry about cancelations or bad weather.
