We have exciting news to share!

Hello YMCA family! We finally received the news we have been looking forward to since March 16.....dates to reopen.

Thank you for your continued support!

First, please let me take a moment to say THANK YOU. We have been overwhelmed by how many of you stayed with us through this time. There have been so many encouraging calls, emails, facebook posts and notes. As the Y has turned to other ways to support our friends and neighbors over these past 2 months, we have so appreciated the way you have joined with us, encouraged us and supported us. Thank you.

Opening Day will be here soon!

There are several guidelines that we will need to follow in order to safely open each area. We will be communicating new procedures, plans and processes to you in a variety of ways. We will have written instructions, videos to walk you through the spaces and signage in place when you arrive to help. Much more to come on all of that.

I want to communicate to you today the goals we are holding as we put our plans in place. We hope to open as much of what you remember of the Y, as soon as we are able, while meeting the guidelines put in place by the government and health authorities. In general, that means we need to be able to ensure proper distancing between people and a sustainable and effective way to disinfect and clean spaces after use.

It also means not every area and not every program will be available on our opening date. We will do our best to communicate what is and isn't available prior to your arrival.

We will open with limited offerings, with more to come!

We plan to open with 2 types of activities prioritized; personal fitness and instructor led. As an individual we want you to be able to return to your health and physical wellness routine as much as possible. We recognize how important these activities are to your long term physical and mental health and will do our best to support that. Initially, we will not be able to offer the gathering spaces within the lobby and Stolle center. We will also be asking that you refrain from gathering in groups in our other areas.

To summarize, as we open, we ask that everyone "be here with a specific purpose". We miss you and value the relational times at our YMCA, too. At least at the beginning, let's keep those interactions within the bounds of the fitness activity you are here to enjoy.
