COUNTRYSIDE YMCA WELCOMES MATT BRUNS AS NEW CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Bruns Brings 24 Years of YMCA Experience to Lebanon, OH

Smiling man [August 18, 2020  Lebanon, OH]— Countryside YMCA has named Matt Bruns as its new Chief Development Officer. Selected by the Y's CEO Chris Johnson and the Board of Directors, Bruns will be responsible for fundraising and community relations.

"During our search for a new Chief Development Officer, we looked at candidates from throughout the area, but Matt stood out among the rest. His energy and vision for the Y is exactly what we were looking for. With Matt's financial development experience and his executive level leadership, we are convinced he is the right person for this role."

"I am thrilled to join the Countryside YMCA family," said Bruns. "I started my Y career more than twenty-four years ago as a program director. I've stayed with the Y ever since. I love this organization and I have a lot of passion about garnering support for the Y's impact," he said.

Bruns comes to Countryside YMCA with twenty-four years of YMCA experience, most recently working for the YMCA of Central Ohio as a District Executive Director and as a Major Gifts Officer. While there he championed a partnership between the Delaware YMCA, the City of Delaware, and the National Guard which was the recipient of the 2018 Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) Award.

Prior to that, Bruns served as the CEO of the Bucyrus YMCA. While there, he served on the Ohio State Alliance as the convener of the Northwest Ohio YMCA Neighborhood and as a Public Policy Advocate.
