"If you want a job that makes life better for others, then the Y is the place for you," said Employee Services Director Kirsten ten Brink. "No matter what role you take on, you'll show up each day knowing your job contributions make an immediate, positive impact on lives in our community," she added.

Several YMCA departments will showcase part-time and full-time job opportunities. Deparments hiring include: child care, aquatics, gymnastics, fitness/wellness, arts & education, facilities, sports and special events.

Countryside YMCA is one of the largest providers of child care in Warren County. With locations in Lebanon, Maineville, Deerfield Township, and Clinton Massie the Y cares for infants through school-age children at five locations throughout the county. The Y is hiring for full-time positions in child care.

"We have the most amazing staff that enjoy coming to work and watching children learn and grow each day," said Little Miami Learning Center Director Stephanie Sizemore. "We have several staff that have been with us for over 14 years, providing great consistency for the program. That kind of long-term commitment is almost unheard of in childcare," she added.

The Y offers several meaningful benefits to full and part-time staff. Qualified YMCA staff are provided with a YMCA membership for themselves as well as discounts on programs. The Y also offers a retirement savings program to both full and part-time employees. Medical insurance is available to full-time staff.

Individual YMCA departments may also offer specific incentives. For example, child care staff may receive free child care for their own children while they are employeed at the Y. "The Y really works hard to provide benefits that will enhance the lives of our employees. We know they are caring for others and we want them to feel cared for by the organization," said Countryside YMCA CEO Chris Johnson.

Lifeguarding and swim instruction are both part-time jobs that directly impact lives by providing safety around water for adults and children. "Our swim instructors have saved lives by teaching water safety skills and swim strokes in swim lessons, " said Swim Lesson & Water Fit Director Karla Toye. If you enjoyed being at the pool this summer or swimming year-round you may consider getting a job in Aquatics at the Y.

Or maybe you have a hobby you could teach others while earning a paycheck. The Arts & Education Department at the Y has a pottery studio as well as an Arts and Crafts room equipped with a full kitchen and a variety of crafting supplies. Peggy Hamlin has been a pottery instructor at the Y for over 20 years. "I enjoy getting to share all I've learned about pottery with all the creative people who join our classes. Then I get to see what they make!"

During the event, application stations and on-site interviews will be available. Program directors will be available to answer questions. Giveaways and swag available while supplies last.
"If you are currently looking for a full or part-time job, join the Y!" said ten Brink. She added, "You'll feel good about the work you do and have fun helping others!"
