This fall, there are a variety of Countryside YMCA activities to look forward to. Today, we take a look at a few of those activities.

The fall is a great time to be involved at Countryside YMCA. We offer many different events, programs, and leagues for your family during the autumn months. Whether you’re a sports fan or you want fun activities for the family to attend, we have you covered in September, October, and November. Register quickly before these popular YMCA activities fill up. In today’s blog post, we discuss three of the most exciting events and leagues going on this fall.

Youth Flag Football

If you have a youngster between ages 5 and 14 who loves football and wants to get out and play, Countryside YMCA’s youth flag football league presents a safe and fun option. Your child will learn the fundamentals of football while experiencing a fun, non-competitive game environment. Flag football allows your child to understand the basics of the game and avoid the hits and injuries that come with tackle football. Flag football offers a fantastic YMCA activity for young football fans who want to get into the game.

Disc Golf Tournament

Our disc golf tournament is one of the most popular Countryside YMCA activities every year. This year’s tournament occurs at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 28. Anyone 14 years old or older can participate. For $20, you will receive a T-shirt, dew fly towel, and a reusable scorecard. You also get an Innova sticker and disc. This price carries a $35 retail value, and tournament winners receive a $50 prize. Contact the Sports Department at (513) 932-142 to participate in our annual disc golf tournament.

Applefest 5K, 10K, 15K

Our yearly Applefest 5K, 10K, 15K provides a great Countryside YMCA activity for all ages. This event starts on September 28 at 8:30 a.m. for 15K runners and 9 a.m. for 5K and 10K runners. Advance registration is $25, but it bumps up to $30 on race day. You can also pay an extra $12 to get a dri-fit T-shirt, but you must make the order by September 17. Event-day registration starts at 7:15 a.m. The top three men and women will receive awards. Our fall races are fun for the whole family because they kick off The Country Applefest, one of Warren County’s most popular annual events.
