Lead Kindergarten Teacher (posted April 9, 2019)
Reports to: Carrie Noel
Hours and Days: Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent with Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR ECE, AS or BA in Education or at least two years' prior experience working with preschool/school age children. Knowledge of state licensing rules. Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
Responsibilities: Kindergarten teachers are responsible for leading students through creative play and hands-on activities. They must plan lessons according to the state curriculum and assess students, tailoring their lessons according to the different abilities of children in the classroom. Must effectively interact with the student and parent population.
Summer Adventure and Before/After School Counselors (posted April 9, 2019)
Reports to: Carrie Noel & Joe Gilmore
Hours and Days: M-F, several shifts
8:00 am - 5:30 pm
8:30 am - 5:30 pm
7:00-9:00 am/3:00-6:00 pm
6:15-9:00 am/3:00-6:00 pm
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, hold or procure First Aid & CPR certificates and pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities: Make a difference in your life and the life of a child this summer! Become a camp counselor specializing in safety and fun in a program designed to nurture personal growth and teach character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility to K-4th grade students!
Start Date: This is a seasonal, summer position running from May-August 2019.

Before & After School-Age Counselor (posted April 9, 2019)
Reports to: Carrie Noel and Joe Gilmore
Hours and Days: Monday-Friday (6:30-9:00 am & 2:30–6:00pm)
Responsibilities: Works closely with other counselors in the assigned classroom to achieve the mission of YMCA and to meet Step Up to Quality guidelines. Counselors share the responsibility of preparing and conducting daily child development activities, keeping the center clean and attractive, communicating with parents and helping to maintain a safe, healthy environment for the children in the center.
Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old and have High School Diploma/GED, and pass a background check. Prior experience in Early Childhood Education or licensed child care preferred.
