  • Hours and Days: Current openings: Monday-Thursday 5:15 am-7:30 am & Monday-Thursday 5:00 pm-8:30 pm.  Group fitness classes are 30,45, or 60 minutes in length.
  • Main area of responsibility: Seeking fitness professionals who have previous teaching experience and who have a passion for making fitness FUN! The Group Fitness Instructor provides current and relevant group fitness instruction through a variety of entertaining, educational, and fun classes promoting fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment.

  • Summary: In this position, you will provide excellent service to members as they scan their cards upon entering the Outdoor Pool facility. You will assist members and participants by providing information in a courteous, timely and friendly manner.
  • Minimum Qualifications: You should be at least 18 years of age with prior customer service experience, computer-literate and able to handle money with ease and accuracy. Background check required.
  • Hours and Days: This seasonal position will run from May 15 - September 2, 2019. Shifts are Monday - Saturday from 3:15 - 8:15 pm and two Sunday shifts per month.

YMCA CAMP COUNTRYSIDE

Summer Camp Counselors (posted February 5, 2019)

  • Hours and Days:  This is a summer seasonal day camp position running from May 28th - Aug 14th; pre-season training will be required.  Typical camp hours are M-F from 8:30-4 pm though hours may vary. 
  • Main area of responsibility:  We want happy campers! Camp Countryside seeks to build positive character into the youth we serve through our core values of Caring, Responsibility, Respect, Honesty and Faith. Our Camp Counselors will provide daily leadership and guidance for a group up to 10 campers, with the end goal of helping them develop the mind, body and spirit as outlined in our Mission Statement.
  • Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent, or at least 17 years of age. Must possess a strong sincere desire to work towards the positive development and growth of children. Our counselors are positive leaders who can work and relate well with other YMCA staff, children and supervisors. Must be able to carry out instructions and understand/perform a basic first-aid and safety within the YMCA protocols. Requires the ability to perform a variety of tasks outdoor in different climates to include independent mobility over various terrain and the ability to assist campers when needed for safety in general camp activities (ie. child weighing 50+ lbs). Physical requirements to include reaching to full-reach overhead, crouching, kneeling,  twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs.
