Parent and Child Classes
Shrimp (6 months - 18 months) & Kipper (18 months - 3 years)
Parents receive guidance on how to develop children’s abilities and how to protect children from harm in, on, and around the water. Children are given the chance to explore a new environment and build skills that add to their self-confidence. Swimmers learn pre-swimming skills through songs, games, and play activities. Both parent and child benefit from taking part in an experience that allows them to learn and have fun together in the water.
Pike with Parents (30 months - 6 years)
Parents will help their child become more comfortable in the water as instructors prepare them for independence and skill development. Skills presented include pool safety, appropriate class behavior, listening skills, and independence from parents as well as all the basic swim skills covered in Pike. Parents must participate, but the focus of class will be to get the child prepared for participation on their own.
