Deployment can be a stressful and uncertain time for our nation’s servicemen and women and their families. We celebrate those who serve our country – in active duty, deployment, and as veterans - by offering reduced membership costs. It’s our way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving our country.
In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense, the Y is proud to offer memberships to eligible military families and personnel to give them extra support. Those eligible for the program include:
- Title 10 personnel
- Families of joint deployed National Guard and Reserves
- Active duty families assigned to newly established joint bases created by the base realignment and closure process
- Active duty and independent duty station personnel
- Relocated spouses and family members of deployed active duty personnel
Eligible participants can register by contacting the Countryside YMCA Welcome Center at 513 932 1424 ext 184. You will need to provide proof of eligibility by providing a military identification card, a copy of your deployment orders, and a completed eligibility form, found at www.militaryonesource.com (or by calling 800 342 9647).
The DOD initiative will fund the cost of memberships only. Camps, sports, afterschool programs, and other fee-based activities will not be included, but these programs can be purchased by the participating adult/family with their own funds.
If you are active duty military and do not qualify for the DOD program, you are still eligible for a savings of up to $180, plus 10% off your membership!
Veterans are also eligible to join without paying the joiner fee.
