Ready, Set, GO!

Looking to get your kids interested in running, biking or swimming? Kids of all ages and stages can make their way to the finish line of this unique triathlon. Capping off a wonderful summer, our annual Healthy Kids Triathlon is an amazing event to get kids moving and to give them the experience of a real triathlon!

The race is held at Countryside YMCA in Lebanon, where participants swim in our Olympic size outdoor pool, bike on the Countryside/Lebanon Bike Trail and run cross country on the Y’s outdoor fields and Nature Trail.

Grouped into similar age ranges, all participants will swim, bike and run to the finish line. Each group will have their own race length, swimming in our outdoor pool, biking along the Countryside YMCA/Lebanon bike trail and running along our outdoor fields and Hewitt P. Mulford Nature Trail. All participants will be awarded as they cross the finish line for their hard work. Once done, racers and their families can stay and celebrate during the Family Fun Fest!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will my child be able to touch the bottom of the pool?

The pool is up to 12 feet deep, however there are lane ropes which athletes can use as well as a lifeguard in each lane.

Can my kid wear swim floaties?

Floaties are not permitted. However the life guards have kick-boards with them if a swimmer needs assistance. We recommend that the swimmer be comfortable putting their face in the water, 50 yards is a long way to “doggie paddle.”

Can my kid’s bike have training wheels?

Yes!

Does my kid need their own bike?

Yes, athletes must bring their own bike. We provide bike safety checks at our Friday Pre-Race Meeting.

Is my kid required to wear a helmet?

Yes!

My kid isn’t comfortable with a certain part of the course, can they skip it?

All young athletes must be able to complete all three sections, swim, bike, and run, to compete.

Can I help my kid on the course?

No. Parents cannot assist athletes during the race, but volunteers are along the entire course and will assist!

Where can I see the race results?

Race results will be given following the race.

Will there be a rain date?

No. The race will still take place in the rain. Should it storm, the race will be delayed, and cancelled if the storm does not pass within an hour. In it's 10 years we've never had to cancel, fingers crossed!
