  • Hours and Days:   Varied, must be available evenings and weekends.
  • Main area of responsibility: Under the guidance of the Aquatic Executive, Aquatic Program Directors, and Aquatic Coordinators, the lifeguard is responsible for the direct supervision, control and safety of members and participants during aquatic programming, recreational and lap swimming.

Member Service Associate (posted July 12, 2017) 

  • Department:  Membership
  • Reports to: Amy Rose
  • Hours and Days:  15-20 hours weekly with varied days and evenings.  Two weekend shifts per month.
  • Responsibilities:  Serves our membership as the first staff touchpoint to greet existing and prospective members.  Handles new member signups,  class registrations, taking payments, answering phones, and giving out information as needed in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Requirements:  High School diploma or equivalent.  Extroverted and friendly personality with the ability to relate well with members and other employees, show tact, professionalism, and courtesy on a regular basis.  This individual must be computer literate, having basic knowledge of the YMCA facility and classes, and should be able to handle monetary transactions with ease and accuracy.  Must understand the importance of member service.

Gymnastics Team Coach (posted July 12, 2017)

  • Hours and Days:   Mon/Wed 6:00-9:00 Fri 5:30-7:30 
  • Responsibility: Needs to be able to coach and spot skills levels 3-5, back handsprings, back tucks, front tucks, and much more skills on bars, beam, and vault. Need to be able to accompany the girls to competitions 2 times a month on Saturday's.
  • Requirements: Must be 18 yrs or older with a lot of energy, good role model and willing to go the extra mile to teach the gymnasts skills, technique for routines and great core values.

  • Hours and Days:  Days and times will vary based upon member need, please initially expect 5-15 hours weekly. 
  • Responsibilities:  The Wellness Specialist will be responsible for the development, administration, management, and evaluation of healthy lifestyle and fitness programs. This person is responsible for the implementation and supervision of safe, high-quality health and fitness programs which meet the diverse needs of the membership and the community.
  • Requirements:  A Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or a related field and a minimum of two years hands-on work experience in the health and fitness arena. Current national certification in group exercise, personal training, CPR, First Aid and AED required. YMCA Team Leader certification preferred.
