Accounting Assistant (Posted September 22, 2017)

  • Department:  Administration
  • Reports to:  Renee Lay, CFO
  • Hour and Days:  Monday - Friday, 40 hours weekly

  • Responsibilities:  Provides administrative and accounting support to the CFO and works on a broad range of functions with YMCA staff.  Manages payroll administration, accounts payable, bank reconciliations.  Assists with annual audit and prepares designated monthly journal entries.  
  • Required Qualifications:  Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or a minimum of 5 years prior applicable experience in accounting.  Must have a strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, strong organizational and problem-solving skills.  Must maintain an attitude of support and team spirit in support of the organization; must work well with others with a personal commitment to the YMCA mission and vision.

  • Reports to:  Chuck Wene
  • Hours and Days:  Variable based upon appointments.  Expect regular afternoons, evenings and weekends.

  • Responsibilities:  Our Personal Trainers develop and guide members through workout programs while instructing clients on the proper use of equipment. Develop exercise programs to meet clients needs, gather baseline data and determine health status and fitness level and conduct body composition testing.
  • Requirements:  High School Diploma, Background Check.  Our trainers are professional, friendly and understand the value of customer service for our members!  Must hold a High School Diploma and nationally recognized personal training certification. Must have experience or degree related to in physical fitness or a related field.   Must have the ability to motivate and promote health and wellness to members while relating well to participants of all ages and fitness levels.

  • Main area of responsibility:  Under the supervision of the Head Coach, the Assistant Swim Team Coach is responsible for the health, safety and training of swimmers, administering the program as directed by the Head Coach including planning practices and reporting any problems to the Head Coach.

All assistant coaches are required to maintain the necessary certifications to be on the pool deck for the appropriate YMCA or USA swimming events.  The Assistant Swim Team Coach shall exhibit and require high standards in risk management and quality control that are consistent with the vision and mission of the YMCA.

Gymnastics Evening Coordinator, Part-time (September 21, 2017)

  • Responsibilities:  Assist with management of all Gymnastics programs to include marketing, budgeting, recruiting, training, staff development, member satisfaction and quality control.
  • Requirements:  18 + years of age, background check, high school diploma.  Must be a self-motivated team player with strong organizational skills.  Must be able to move equipment (push, pull, lift, squat, stand and sit on the floor).  Prior supervisory experience. CPR and First Aid certifications a plus.
